Restaurant staff often operate in fast-paced environments where every second matters. Existing POS systems can be cluttered, difficult to navigate, and heavily focused on billing rather than operational efficiency. This creates delays in order management, communication issues between staff, and a higher chance of mistakes during peak hours.
Research was conducted by reviewing existing POS platforms, studying restaurant workflows, and identifying common operational pain points. The findings highlighted the need for quicker order entry, clearer kitchen communication, improved readability, and simplified navigation for different staff roles.
Key Insights
• Staff prioritize speed over visual complexity
• Kitchen displays require larger, clearer information
• Role-specific experiences reduce confusion and errors
